| Our Does Our does are special ladies, each and every one! This unique group has been assembled to provide a full range of colorful kids with quality fleeces of varying types. We've worked to include a variety of bloodlines so you are able to purchase an unrelated couple or group of kids. Pygora Breeders' Association (PBA) registration numbers are listed for all of our PBA bucks and for all our does so you may view their family histories on the online herdbook at the PBA web site. |

Vistas Black Velvet Registration #: 03-47F Color: Black (brown fleece tips) Fleece Type: B Sire: Peppermint Pastures Morris Dam: Verdant Vistas Molly Malone Velvet is taking a breeding break this year. |
Four years ago, we paired our dark brown Molly Malone with the fantastic black buck, Peppermint Pastures Morris. Morris wins Grand Champion fiber awards, even when competing with does and wethers! Black Velvet was the result and she inherited a perfect combination of her mom's and dad's strengths--thick, curly, soft fiber; a lovely curly forehead, good conformation and size, and a sweet and competent disposition. She gave us buckling Dwaine and 2 lovely lasses last year so we're giving her a vacation this round. |

Vistas Breda |
Parents aren't supposed to have 'favorite children' but our defense is that Breda wins EVERYONE'S heart. She is the Pygora prototype with direct lines to T-Bo, an outstanding white Angora buck, on her mom's side and to Permanent Grand Champion Pygora doe, Jessica, on her dad's. The combination gives her long, wavy locks of a very unusual grey color (her fiber won Reserve Grand Champion Fleece at the 2005 Bold & Beautiful Buck Show) with her dark grey face, legs and tail. Breda was also a mother of triplets last year: 3 terrific little black girls. |

Vistas Colene |
A graceful, fiber-fabulous lass, Colene becomes a first-time mom this spring. She herself is the daughter of two stellar fiber producers: snow white 'Type A' PPP Kora and midnight black 'Type B' (leaning toward A) BR Arvydas. Colene produces blue-ribbon deep brown or grey coats twice a year (roving will be available for sale soon). She is gentle and feminine, a super match for her mate, the handsome buck VV Ian. |

Shaggy
Bear Farms Concertina |
This very pretty young lady came to us last year from Shaggy Bear Farms. Her lovely brown color & very soft fiber is much like our Molly's and makes a double-nice processing duo (we do their coats together). Concertina's grandsire is the prize-winning brown buck, Peppermint Pastures Pachuca (Morris' son) and her sire Buck Show Champ, PPP Voyager. Besides her external assets, we're hoping Concertina passes her warm and affectionate personality onto her first children this coming spring. |

Vistas Grainne Registration #: 02-18F Color: White Fleece Type: B Sire: VV Bailey's Irish Cream Dam: Verdant Vistas Maggie Mate: McTimmonds Valley Farm Sabastian |
Grainne is a personal favorite with her waddles placed at the bottom of both ears and looking like stylish earrings. Like her mom, she is white and curly--a luscious B fleece. Grainne has had twins each of her kiddings and has fed and nurtured these offspring with special care and skill. After a year's rest from mothering, we're eagerly awaiting what Grainne produces from a mating with the beautifully-fleeced, Sabastian. |

Peppermint
Pastures Kora |
Kora always gives us lovely kids--two years ago, the curliest white girl we've ever seen and her equally lovely black sister. Last year, with Arvydas, she had the curly white boy--and our beautiful raven black Colene whom we've kept as our own. Kora is the oldest member of our herd and we've decided to let her sit out this year, relax and grow fiber. She is gentle, sweet and a lady we hope will be with us for a long time to come. |

Vistas Maeve Registration #: 01-27F Color: Light Caramel Fleece Type: A Sire: Verdant Vistas Mick Maguire Dam: Peppermint Pastures Milady Mate: VV Dwaine |
Maeve is a luscious re-creation of her lovely mom, Milady--only she often throws colored kids when paired with a colored buck (in this year's case, the dark Dwaine). Maeve's fiber is terrific--long and wavy--and has made spinners very happy. Her kids are always in high demand and now can be found all along the Pacific Coast from Washington to California (however, her Buck Show champion junior buck, Paul Bunyon, is now in Minnesota). Maeve often has triplets, but her twins are very special too. |

Vistas Molly Malone Registration #: 00-65F Color: Dark Brown Caramel Fleece Type: B Sire: Windshadows Woodruff Dam: McTimmonds Valley Blondie Molly is taking it easy this year and wasn't bred. |
Molly's color--and fleece quality--have been truly unique since she was very little. (She was one of our first four kids born here.) Molly is a very deep brown and produces a soft and sumptuous fleece. Her lovely black 2006 Doeling, "Isabelle", is now is Duluth, MN, and she has other pretty girls in Corvallis, OR, and Lake Shasta, CA. We've found that Molly favors little black girls--she and daughter, Black Velvet, stick close together and tend to rule the roost. We think Molly has aptly earned her queen credentials! |

Weeping
Willow Pygoras Naomi |
What is it with those little red doelings? For our 2007 spring kids, Annalisa & Brianna--and now the perky Naomi from Weeping Willows Pygoras--their worlds know no limits. Each is infinitely confident, fearless, people-charmers--and generally a handful! A gate or barn door opened 2 inches is an invitation to adventure. Naomi is the granddaughter of our (YF) Rose and daughter of VV Delilah, bought several years ago by Weeping Willow Farm. We are thrilled to have her line back with us, along with Naomi's fine, caramel fiber; graceful form, and simply unsinkable personality. |

Applebright
Farm Ruby Registration #: 00-23F Color: Dark Caramel Fleece Type: B Sire: Yama Farm L'Nino Dam: Yama Farms Enchantress Mate: McTimmonds Valley Farm Sabastian |
Ruby is red as red can be and her fleece is long and thick (that's hers and Rover's yarn that appears on our Fiber Fun web page). Ruby is a dedicated mother and has had some lovely caramel youngsters with colors ranging from light to almost red. We think her mating with Sabastian will take advantage of each of their lovely color while strengthening their offsprings' fiber quality. |

Shady
Creek Farm Shimeeka |
Shimeeka came to us from southern Iowa, via the Smokey Summit Ranch in northern Colorado (we traded RHR Black Bart for this pretty girl). Her soft, dense blackish brown fleece is a dream and exceptional in every way. Shimeeka is as warm and friendly as any of our lasses raised from birth at V.V. She adopted Picabo's girl, Brianna, last year and--as usual--has been a loving and faithful mom. |

Vistas Treasa |
Our lovely Treasa becomes dearer with each passing year. Her warm disposition and sweet personality are matched only by her soft and abundant caramel B/C fiber. Treasa was the outgrowth of our experiment of crossing Ruby's unique color with HMR Trouble's (Peppermint Pastures Klive's & T-Bo's lines) fabulous white A fiber. Mate Flannery brings his own long red caramel locks to their union making their spring offspring well worth waiting for. |

Vistas Willow |
This is one spunky little gal who overflows with determination and ingenuity. Willow was one of twin doelings born here shortly after mom's arrival from Goose Creek Farm. She was the fearless & undauntable one who could squeeze through any doorway open even 2 inches (it seemed). True to form, Willow began her kidding career last spring with a set of beautiful triplets, all wonderfully colored in grey & brown agouti coats and perfectly square bodies. She's mated to Ian again for a repeat performance! |
