Our goats and other people bring lots of pleasure to each other, both on and off our farm. This year and last, we've had many special visitors to Verdant Vistas--and have been guests of lots of nice folks as we traveled near and far. February--Kidding Workshop, OR State Veterinarian, Don Hanson. Over 30 attend. March--Bonnie, Helen & Tammy visit & cuddle baby goats. April--Grandma, Mary & Olive visit & play with kids. Getting used to humans. May--MN family with granddaughter, Grace. Spencer & Marie (and Mom). 5 young adults from neighbor's day activity program. June--We kid-sit former children, Sampson, Delilah & Fanny. Spencer & Marie come & take Cosmos & Clover home. July--Krista & Doug from Virginia. August--The Chesnutis family from Washougal, WA. September--Kathy & Jamie, Hillsboro, OR; the VanSlykes from Keizer, OR; Bob & Bobbie from Check, VA. November--Our terrific breeders who brought their does to us: the Gallardos from Dundee, OR; the Fertigs from Independence, OR; the Bowmans from Vancouver, WA; the McCoys from Oregon City, OR; and Liz Bettencourt from Bandon, OR. Visiting with you was a joy and we enjoyed your girls tremendously! |

Take off for delivery trip to AR to new homes of 15 other young goats. August--OR State Fair. Pat clerks for the Pygora Show. September--OR Flock & Fiber Festival (OFFF). See EVENTS & AIDS page! October/November--Our Ruby visits the handsome Jackson at Bryn Hollow Farm in Cottage Grove, OR, and Bridget camps out with Pachuca at Peppermint Pastures in Albany, OR.
